What We Offer
We offer a range of services to meet the unique needs of every child and family.
-
A complimentary phone consultation is available to help determine whether your child would benefit from a comprehensive evaluation. It’s a helpful opportunity to share more about your child, discuss concerns, and have your questions answered. We work closely with parents to recommend and guide the most appropriate next steps tailored to your child’s speech and language needs.
-
During the evaluation, we complete comprehensive assessments prior to initiating a therapy program. We evaluate your child’s overall speech, interaction, language, and communication skills using a combination of parent interview, play-based informal assessment and observation, and formal standardized measures to determine the areas of need.
An evaluation report is provided and collaboratively with parents, we create individualized treatment plans and goals that will be the focal point of future therapy sessions.

Following the evaluation, specific speech and language skills will be identified and targeted for therapy based on assessment, developmental norms, individual readiness, and family’s goals. Our therapy sessions will focus on a set of age-appropriate goals to meet your child’s individual needs. A variety of strategies and therapy techniques will be implemented to encourage your child’s progress.
At the end of each session, we will share what was focused on and provide recommendations for at home practice. We value the importance of parental education and involvement, and welcome family members to join the therapeutic process.

Parent/caregiver and teacher training are integral components of our services. Different frameworks for parent training are utilized dependent on the child, family, and therapy plan.
Some programs used include the DIR/Floortime model and HANEN programs.
DIR/Floortime is a relationship-based approach that prioritizes connection over compliance. Our parent training program using the DIR® (Developmental, Individual-differences, Relationship-based) model provides you with the tools to support your child’s emotional, social, language, and cognitive growth through the power of play.
This program is designed to help parents and caregivers of children with autism and developmental differences become their child's most valuable coach. Unlike traditional behavioral methods, Floortime focuses on meeting your child at their current developmental level and following their lead to expand their "circles of communication” among other skills.

More Than Words®: A neuro-affirming program developed specifically for parents of autistic children. This program teaches parents to follow their child’s natural interests and understand sensory differences to promote interaction, language learning, and communication.
