About Alexis

I believe that the ability to connect and share our thoughts with others is at the very heart of a full life. As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, my primary goal is to help your child find their voice, build confidence, and thrive in their relationships with family and friends.

With over 12 years of experience in schools, clinics, and homes, I know that every child’s communication journey looks different. I believe that each child’s treatment should be individualized. I look at the whole picture including your child’s unique personality, sensory needs, family culture, and strengths in order to create a therapy plan that feels natural, supportive, and fun.

My Philosophy: Connection First

I am a firm believer that connection and regulation always come first. Before we work on specific speech sounds or language milestones, I focus on building a safe, trusting relationship with your child. When a child feels seen, understood, and regulated, we are able to make the greatest impact in speech and language skills that transfer to daily life.

My therapy sessions are active, flexible, playful, and completely centered around your child's natural interests.

Specialized Training & Expertise

Over the course of my career, I have dedicated myself to learning specialized frameworks that allow me to support children with diverse and complex communication needs. My background includes:

  • DIR/Floortime Therapy: I use this relationship-based approach to meet children at their developmental level and use emotional connection to fuel communication

  • Augmentative & Alternative Communication: I have extensive training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), helping children find specialized communication tools and systems to express themselves.

  • Motor Speech: I have extensive experience and training in the area of childhood apraxia of speech and utilize evidence-based approaches to treatment such as PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing)

  • The Hanen Program: Certified in It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words, I specialize in coaching parents and caregivers so you feel confident prompting language and connection during your daily routines at home.

Where to Find Me

After years of working in the Los Angeles school district and specialized private clinics, I opened my own practice to give families the individualized care conveniently in-home, at school, or within the community spaces. I previously served children in the West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Pacific Palisades areas. After relocating to Manhattan Beach last year (2025), I now serve children and families in the South Bay.

Outside the Clinic

When I'm not working with my amazing clients, you can find me enjoying the beautiful South Bay outdoors. I love going on nature walks and having beach days with my husband, our two young kids, and our dogs. I also love trying new restaurants & spending time in the kitchen, cooking up fun, new recipes for my family.
